Nicknamed the “Durian Theatre,” its distinctive exterior features triangular glass panels resembling the sharp spikes of a durian, allowing natural light to flood the building. The entire theatre maintains a cool temperature, with Y-shaped roof support structures designed to collect and reuse rainwater for façade cleaning and irrigation. Equipped with an LED lighting system, the theatre saves approximately 2.63 million kWh of electricity, reinforcing Esplanade’s commitment to sustainable green initiatives.
