Pioneering the application of the circular economy model on the largest scale in the country, VAS Group is proud to have produced millions of tons of VAS Green Steel that meets strict international standards from: Japan [JIS], the United Kingdom [BS4449], the United States [ASTM, SAE, J403], contributing positively to the country's "Green, Clean" heavy industry.
Before being put into production, scrap iron/steel is collected and processed at the Nghi Son Port Logistics Area – the only modern scrap washing area in Vietnam. The production of VAS Green Steel is done using state-of-the-art technology from Danieli [Italy] along with an induction furnace system [no use of DO oil, coal], reducing CO2 emissions by over 40% compared to traditional technology.
The low CO2 emissions during the production of VAS Green Steel, in accordance with the international EPD® standard [Environmental Product Declaration], further demonstrates the strong commitment of VAS Group to sustainable development from the very beginning, contributing to protecting the "Green" environment for future generations.
In May 2024, the VAS steel flag flying on Australian soil marked a new milestone, proudly showcasing the quality and global reputation of the VAS brand, providing momentum for VAS Green Steel to remain strong and innovative, flying the Vietnamese flag high in the global steel market.
